EAO sets New Standards with the
Ultimate Rugged, Vandal Proof Pushbutton
EAO, experts for human machine interfaces, today announced a groundbreaking approach in the battle against vandalism. Exploiting the latest engineering techniques, EAO has developed the ultimate protection for switching units.
EAO’s instantly recognizable Series 56 pushbutton features a unique design which provides protection to the switch unit, independent to the force applied to the pushbutton. This means that even if extreme force is applied to the pushbutton over the lifetime of the switch, the switching unit is protected as it only ever encounters a steady, constant actuation force.
The unique design of the Series 56 switch also features a snap-action switching system which delivers clear and recognizable tactile feedback. This type of feedback is guaranteed from all spots where the actuator can be pushed. This feature is clearly advantageous for operators young and old, and is especially beneficial for disabled users. EAO’s technology out performs many other products on the market, as it avoids the problem of ”no actuation” zones.
The shock and dust proof Series 56 is protected, both at the front and at the rear of the switch, to IP67 standards. EAO’s Series 56 range includes single and double-sided-pushbuttons and indicators; a pushbutton that mounts without the need for fixing screws; a glass-mounting pushbutton; “secret-until-lit” indicators; and pushbuttons with Braille and raised symbols. EAO’s high quality and reliable Series 56 switches are readily available with pricing starting at slightly over $50.00 per unit.
