The patented design technology, combined with the integral heat sink, has made possible an ultra-high, steady-state current rating. Crydom’s PowerFin design enables the PF to achieve the highest ratings for any SIP solid state relay. It will switch a full 10 amps with convection cooling at 25˚C, rising to 25 amps RMS in forced air at a case temperature of 85˚C. With SCR output and either AC or DC input control, the printed circuit board mount PF is available for use on 120/240, 380 or 480 Vac supplies.

Excellent load capability is built into a small package (encapsulated thermally conductive epoxy) which can be used with convection or forced air cooling. Zero voltage and random turn-on versions are offered for all modules. The PF is particularly suitable for motor reversing, incandescent lamp and heater controls. Other applications can include pump controls, medical equipment, food equipment, HVAC, and uninterruptible power supplies.
